Bad idea. This is a strange smell. I can’t lie, this is definitely got a smell, and I’m not a big fan of it. That was the first thirty seconds of my Bravado Labs HRPRX test and it nearly decided the whole review before I swallowed a single capsule.
Quick Verdict
The smell put me off before I swallowed anything. Two gel capsules, a little bit of water, and zero aftertaste, which is really really nice when I can usually feel supplements through my nose. Fifteen-plus ingredients I’d normally buy in separate bottles, now in one.
Buy if you:
- fly often and want immune support in one bottle instead of four
- already take zinc, vitamin C and echinacea separately
- want L-Lysine in the same capsule as the rest of the stack
- hate pills that leave a taste in the back of your throat
Skip if you:

Bravado Labs sent me their HRPRX, and my first move was to smell it
But a smell you endure for three seconds a day is irrelevant if the capsule goes down clean. That was the actual test.
One capsule, the contents of four bottles
The label lists fifteen named ingredients: vitamins C, D3, E, B6 and B12, zinc, selenium, echinacea, elderberry, ginseng, astragalus, garlic, green tea, olive and oregano, all wrapped around an L-Lysine base. That’s the pitch, and for once the label actually backs it up.
The full list goes further than what I called out on camera. It’s an L-Lysine-based blend fortified with zinc, vitamins C, D3, E, B6 and B12, selenium, ginseng, astragalus, echinacea, elderberry, garlic, green tea, olive and oregano. That’s fifteen-plus named ingredients in a 120-capsule bottle. At two capsules a day, that’s a 60-day supply.
Now I have that in one single pill. Well, I should say the daily dose is two pills, and that distinction matters if you’re the kind of person who counts what’s on the bathroom counter every morning.
Two capsules, a little bit of water, no aftertaste whatsoever
Zero aftertaste. That was the surprise. My biggest concern going in was the aftertaste based on that smell, and I’m the guy who can usually feel a supplement coming back up through his nose ten minutes later. Nothing whatsoever, which is the surprise I needed.
The gel capsules are the reason. They’re small enough that I took both at the same time with one swallow and a little bit of water. No gagging, no chalky coating that dissolves halfway down. The smell is the part you have to live with
Opening the bottle is unpleasant. Not dangerous, not a deal-breaker, just off-putting the first time. With garlic, oregano and green tea packed into the same capsule I shouldn’t have been shocked, but the hit was stronger than I expected and I said so on camera.

Fantastic for travel day, especially on an airplane
That’s where I’d use this first. Travel day. We fly out of a small island airport, which means a connection, a packed cabin, and recycled air for six hours with a couple hundred strangers. That’s the scenario where I want zinc, vitamin C and echinacea in my system, and I don’t want to pack three bottles to get them.

Take both capsules at once, not spread across the day. That’s how I did it and it’s one less thing to remember. A little bit of water is all you need given how small the gel caps are.
Don’t do what I did and smell the bottle before your first dose. There’s no reason to, and it’ll bias you against a product that goes down clean.
Check the ingredient list against whatever you’re already taking. Since this stacks zinc, selenium, five vitamins and eight botanicals in one capsule, doubling up with your existing multivitamin is the obvious mistake. And if you’re on medication or pregnant, this is a conversation with your doctor, not with a review blog.

What we’d improve
Two fixes that wouldn’t be hard for the next batch:
- The bottle needs a better seal or a scent-masking liner, the garlic and oregano hit is the single worst thing about this product and it’s entirely a packaging problem, not a formula problem.
- Print the two-capsule serving on the front, not just the panel, the all-in-one story reads like one pill a day, and finding out it’s two only after you read the label feels like a gotcha it doesn’t need.
