Watch Our Review

We’ve never had microfiber towels this big. In this household we love microfiber, but the ones we always buy are really tiny, great for the gym or wiping down the cars and not much else. This 16-pack of oversized microfiber towels is a different animal at 27×60, with enough room to actually shower or dry off at the pool.

Quick Verdict

Sixteen towels, each 27 by 60 inches, and the whole set arrived compressed flat enough to fit in a mailer. These are the first microfiber towels we’ve had that are big enough to shower with, and one still folds down small enough to throw in a beach bag.

Buy if you:

  • want a shower or pool towel that packs like a gym towel
  • travel with a small bag and hate bulky cotton
  • keep a spare towel in the car for spontaneous swims
  • need to restock a whole household at once

Oversized Microfiber Towels: Massive and Absorbent

They come in multiple colors, with a little loop sewn in the middle for hanging, which is the kind of thing you don’t think about until you’re at a pool with nowhere to put a wet towel.

Sixteen Towels, One Package

Sixteen bath-size towels in one set is a solid value proposition. That’s the reason this pack makes sense for a family, a gym bag rotation, or anyone tired of replacing worn-out towels every season.

You look at a pack of 16 and think, where am I going to put all of these. Then you open it and they’re compressed flat. Storage isn’t the problem here. Check the current price on the product page, and it’s worth doing the math per towel.

The Compression Lines Throw People Off

They arrive creased, and that’s not a defect. Because the pack ships so compressed, every towel comes out with visible lines pressed into the fabric. First reaction is usually that something’s wrong with them.

Nothing’s wrong. As soon as they go through the washer and dryer those lines drop out. But it does mean you can’t unbox these and use them the same afternoon, which is worth knowing if you ordered them the day before a trip. They went straight into the wash right after filming.

Why Microfiber Wins on Packing Size

Microfiber is soft and absorbent without the bulk, and that’s the whole advantage here. A cotton bath sheet at this size would eat most of a carry-on. This one folds down to something you can hold in one hand.

The fold in the video wasn’t even a good one. Sloppy, to the eye, and it still ended up tiny compared to the towel opened up. That’s the test that matters for travel. If you’re heading to the beach with a small bag, you just throw it in and forget about it.

Microfiber dries faster than cotton, so these are out of the dryer quickly. The car use is underrated: two of these folded in a trunk pocket take less space than one cotton hand towel, and a spontaneous swim stops being a logistical problem.

Who These Are Actually Right For

Sixteen towels, each big enough to shower with, each small enough to stuff in a beach bag, and the color assortment means you can hand one to every person in the house and never sort wet laundry again. That’s the whole case for this set, and it holds up.

The trade-off is texture. Microfiber isn’t plush cotton and never will be, so if a thick hotel-style bath sheet is what you’re after, this isn’t that. For gym, pool, beach, travel and car duty, it’s hard to beat sixteen of them at once.

Pros

  • Oversized at 27 by 60 inches, shower and pool sized, not a small gym towel
  • Folds down tiny even with a lazy fold, perfect for travel and beach bags
  • Super soft and really absorbent, standard microfiber strengths
  • Hanging loop sewn into the middle edge
  • Sixteen towels in multiple colors in one pack

Cons

  • Arrive heavily compressed with creases that only come out after a wash and dry
  • Not the plush cotton feel some people want from a bath towel
  • 16 is a lot if you only need a couple

Frequently Asked Questions

Do they need any special washing?

No. Regular washer and dryer, no special care instructions. Microfiber dries faster than cotton, so they spend less time in the dryer too.

Will one fit in a carry-on?

Easily. Folded, a single towel takes up about the space of a t-shirt, which is the main reason to pick microfiber over cotton for travel.

Can you pick the colors?

The set ships as an assortment of multiple colors rather than a chosen single shade. Check the live listing for the current color mix before ordering if that matters to you.

If you’d buy one good microfiber towel anyway, buying sixteen makes the per-towel value hard to beat. Grab the 16-pack.
